Walkers Arms Hotel, Adelaide

I found the hotel to be conveniently located and easy to spot. The room felt a bit isolated being tucked away in the corner, but it did come with a kitchenette and a table and chairs. However, cleanliness was lacking with visible dirty fingerprints on the walls. The staff were a mixed bag; while some were lovely and obliging, others seemed more interested in socializing than serving. Overall, the service was friendly but not consistently professional. The location was great for our needs in Adelaide, although the bath appeared smaller than it actually was. The dining experience offered good value for the money with plenty of choices, yet the time restrictions for meals might not suit everyone. The facilities were decent but nothing exceptional.

The hotel has some positives like a nice dessert and coffee selection in the rooms, but it was a bit warm for sleeping. Unfortunately, the atmosphere felt tired and unwelcoming, with damaged chairs at the table. The location directly facing the beer garden with loud music and a bright TV screen shining into the rooms can be disturbing.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were quiet, well-furnished, and had ample storage space, though they were a bit dark. The service, especially at the reception, was outstanding with staff always ready to assist. The location was perfect for my activities in Walkerville, and the dining experience, although average, had a good variety of options. Overall, a great place to stay.
